I figured instead of waiting to get pictures of me from Halloween, I'd just post this, and quit procrastinating. Last Friday night I went to a Milonga in Downey, for the my first time. It looks like one of the better ones, although it was Halloween. I went dressed up in my Kung Fu outfit, and wore my shoes from Tai Chi, which were pretty slippery and forced me to ground a lot.

Later on that evening I saw my friend Marius, who was going to pay for a hotel room, but I was happy to oblige with a pull out bed downstairs.

On Saturday, Marius and I went to El Encuentro, dressed up as a pimp. I'll try to get a pic up later. I saw Mitra, a young woman who I met at the Portland Tango Fest, who happens to be a top tier dancer as far as I am concerned. I never mentioned this little anecdote, but she and 3 of her top notch nuevo tangueras were all dressed up in semi transparent white pants with polka dot underwear. She told me it was a show of support for the birthday of one of the girls. I mentioned something about how it was interesting that the effect was a bit clearer with more sweat, and she joked that their polka dot power got stronger the harder they worked.

On Sunday, I went to Danzarin in the OC, and had more fun. On Halloween proper I ended up staying in, feeling a little ill from sugar, and did work, but I got more than my fair share of Halloween festivities.
