Well, I was originally going to tell you about my dancing Salsa last Tuesday at Tia Juana's in Irvine, which was crowded but good, although there's a new development that trumps it. Basically, the group I am working for was overstaffed by 30% (from what I was told on high by my boss's boss) and I am getting the boot. The original idea with the organization that I'm a part of was that we'd get more funding by the time that budgeting for 2006 came around, typical corporate politics, since the organization was behind the projected goals. Work was a little disenchanting, and 1/4 of my group got the axe.

Fortunately, I've got ins on another organization, and I can apply to other stuff within the company, with some priority. I'm pretty sure I'll be fine, and if I'm lucky, my new work might have me travelling to St. Louis and Seattle periodically. If I can find something that fits within my goals for myself, and fits within the story of my career, after ending this last chapter, I'll be happy.
